She graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law at the Classical University of Lisbon.
She is a lawyer, having suspended her membership with the Portuguese Bar Association at her request.
She has been a senior technician of the Regional Staff of São Miguel Island since November 1, 1988, and is currently assigned to the Regional Directorate for Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness.
She worked as a senior legal technician at Empresa de Eletricidade dos Açores, E.P., on secondment (1991-1994).
She was Director of Services at the Regional Directorate for Employment (1994-1998), Director of Services at the Regional Directorate for Youth, Employment and Vocational Training (1998-2003), Assistant Director to the Regional Director for Youth, Employment and Vocational Training (2003-2006), Regional Assistant Director of the Regional Directorate for Labour and Vocational Training (2006-2012), Director of Human Resources Services at the University of the Azores (2014-2017) and Head of Cabinet of the Regional Assistant Secretary of the Presidency for External Relations (2018-2020).
Since December 7, 2020, she has been the General Secretary of the Presidency of the Regional Government.
