The Regional Directorate for Air and Maritime Transport contributes to the definition and implementation of regional policies for air and maritime transport. This entity is also responsible for strengthening the potential of these policies and respective infrastructures in order to boost the competitiveness of the Azorean economy, improve the accessibility of people and goods as well as to reinforce regional cohesion. 

We are an entity that implements policies with the aim of improving the effectiveness and competitiveness of the regional transport system in terms of frequency service and pricing, thus contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the Azorean population and the competitiveness of regional companies. 

Today we are faced with a series of demands that motivate us to pursue our work towards the improvement of the transport system in the Azores. We also express our total availability to welcome your opinion and suggestions.
