Bruno Filipe de Freitas Belo, a native of the island of Flores, holds a degree in Business Organisation and Management from the University of the Azores. He also completed the Training for Instructors course, having taught at the São Jorge Vocational School between 2005 and 2007.
He served in the Army between 1992 and 2000.
He joined the technical staff of the Lajes das Flores Municipality as a Senior Technician, having been responsible for the Finance Section between 2005 and 2012.
He served as President of the Parish Council of Lomba das Flores, under PSD, between 2009 and 2013 and was a Member of the Lajes das Flores Municipal Assembly, under PSD, in the same period.
He was a Member of the Regional Parliament for PSD in 2012. In 2020, he was elected President of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on General Policy of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores. He was also a Municipal Councillor, under PSD, in the Lajes das Flores Municipal Council between 2020 and 2022.
