The “I Love Azores” contest aims to strengthen the cultural and emotional ties between young Azorean descendants living in North America and the Autonomous Region of the Azores. Integrated into the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Azorean Autonomy and the 85th anniversary of SATA, this joint initiative by the Government of the Azores and SATA Azores Airlines promotes the valorization of Azorean identity and closer connections between the communities and their land of origin.
Open to young people up to 40 years of age with family ties to the Azores, the contest invites participants to create an original text, in English, reflecting their personal relationship with the archipelago, with the prize being a round-trip flight to the Azores on one of the routes operated by SATA Azores Airlines.
