Mónica Reis Simões Seidi Regional Secretary for Health and Social Security
Biographical Note

Born in Conceição - Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira Island, on February 10, 1984.

She holds a Master's degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra  and a postgraduate degree in Infectious Diseases from the Curry Cabral Hospital and in Critical Care Medicine from REANIMA.

She completed her medical internship (2011-2016), having carried out medical duties in several areas, namely the Outpatient Ward, Outpatient Clinic, Day Hospital, Intra-hospital Consultancy, Internal Emergency, Inter-hospital transfer of patients and the Emergency Department at the Santo Espírito Hospital, Egas Moniz Hospital, São Francisco Xavier Hospital, Cascais Hospital and King's College Hospital.

She headed the Emergency Department teams (2017-2018) at the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital in Vila Franca de Xira.

She was a Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores (2016-2020), serving as Vice-President of the PSD Parliamentary Group.   She has been the Vice-President of PSD/Açores since 2022. She served as Regional Secretary for Health and Sport of the XIII Government of the Azores (2023 - 2024).

Currently, she is an Internal Medicine Assistant Graduate at the Santo Espírito Hospital, Terceira Island.

Since March 4, 2024, she has been the Regional Secretary for Health and Social Security of the XIV Government of the Azores.
