“9 islands of the Azores, 9 OR” is a project that emerged in the framework of the programme of the Presidency of the Azores of the Conference of Presidents of the UItraperipheral Regions (CPRUP), which took place throughout 2021. The initiative is intended to contribute to greater dissemination and knowledge of the outermost reality of the Azores in particular and of the European Union in general, by encouraging young people’s interest in European issues and their participation in related activities. in view of the coincidence between the number of islands in the Azores archipelago and the number of outermost regions (ORs) of the European Union (EU), each island of the Azores has been allocated one of the 9 ORs, on which students attending educational establishments in the Autonomous Region of the Azores should take the form of an illustration of research.
