Pedro Jorge Escórcio Fins holds a degree in Nursing with a specialisation in Primary Health Care and a postgraduate degree in Palliative Care.

- Research project - Assessment of the Health Needs of the Elderly Population of a Social Neighbourhood of Terceira Island (1998);
- Nurse at the São José Health Unit - Ponta Delgada (1998);
- Nurse at the Urgent Care Service - SAU - Ponta Delgada (1999);
