Biographical Note

Academic Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in Insular and Atlantic History (15th to 20th centuries) from the University of the Azores;
  • Degree in History (teaching specialisation) from the University of the Azores.

Besides having specific training for the teaching of Portuguese and History, he completed several training courses, namely in the following areas:

  • "The Challenges of Teaching - Promoting Students' Involvement in School Activities";

  • Member of the Parish Assembly of Vila das Lajes from 2005 to 2009;
  • Councillor of Praia da Vitória City Council from 2017 to 2021;
  • Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores since 2020.
