Born on February 2, 1982, in Angra do Heroísmo.

Degree in Sports Sciences - Specialisation in Physical Education and School Sport, from the Faculty of Human Kinetics - Technical University of Lisbon (2005). 
Level 2 Athletics Coach category achieved in specialisation under the curricular plan of the Sports Sciences degree programme (2005).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Director of Physical Activity and Sports Services at the Regional Directorate for Sport since November 25, 2024;
  • Senior technician with the school sports team of the Regional Directorate for Education and Educational Administration from December 1, 2023, to November 24, 2024;
  • Senior Sports Technician with the Angra do Heroísmo Municipality from August 8, 2005, to December 31, 2007, and from December 28, 2012, to November 30,  2023, having held the position of Head of Section of the Sports and Quality of Life Promotion Section from September 30, 2016, to January 31, 2023;
  • President of the Board and Technical Director of the Terceira Island Athletics Association (AAIT) from June 16, 2023, to November 24, 2024;
  • Adviser to the Azorean High-Performance Sports Council from April 20, 2016, to November 24, 2024;
  • Competition Director and founding member of Azores Bravos Trail from October 2019 to November 24, 2024;
  • Member of the Technical Office of the Terceira Island Athletics Association since the 2009/2010 sports season, carrying out various duties individually or in rotation with the other technicians: AAIT Technical Director, FPA Regional Technical Director;
  • Technical Collaborator, Terceira Island Coach, Regional Coach/Azores, Island Games Coach;
  • Regional Athletics Referee from January 2010 until November 24, 2024;
  • Coach at the Azores Athletics Training Centre from September 2009 to November 24, 2024;
  • Coordinator and Instructor for several Level 1 Athletics Coaching Courses run by the Portuguese Athletics Federation since 2013;
  • Instructor for the Portuguese Athletics Federation under the "Kids Athletics" programme from November 2021 to November 24, 2024;
  • Coach at the Terceira Athletics Club, from September 1998 to August 2000, also holding the position of Coach and Technical Director of the club from September 2005 until November 24, 2024;
  • Senior Sports Technician at Culturangra EEM, from January 2, 2008, to December 27, 2012, where, after 2011, he held the position of coordinator of the Sports, Environment and Logistics Department;
