Born on December 4, 1981, in Freixo de Espada à Cinta. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Lisbon Institute of Engineering. He joined the Air Force on September 11, 2000, and later, in 2003, he enrolled in the Air Force Academy to attend the Higher Course in Military and Aeronautical Sciences, specialising in aircraft weaponry and equipment maintenance. Upon completion, he was assigned to Air Base No. 4. In 2001, he was assigned to Air Base No. 5 (Monte Real), where he served as Maintenance Officer in Squadron No. 201 – "Falcões". He served as Commander of the Infrastructure Squadron from January 2007 to September 2010. He headed the Technical Office from September 2010 to April 2011.
From January 2015 to September 2017, he was in charge of the Residential Administration Section. From March 2012 to August 2023, he served as the Unit's Ground Safety Officer and Weapons and Missiles Safety Officer. Since December 18, 2022, he has been the President of the Azores Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service.
