João Miguel Palma Guerreiro Lança was born on june 24, 1970, in Lisbon.
He holds a degree in Agronomic Engineering from Instituto Superior de Agronomia of Universidade Técnica de Lisboa and a master's degree in Agronomic Engineering from Instituto Superior de Agronomia of Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.
He served as Technical Counsellor for Regional Affairs (Azores) at the Permanent Representation of Portugal to the European Union, between september 1, 2014, and august 31, 2021.
He was President of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Markets, a position equivalent to Regional Director, on January 23, 2013, and before that he was a Member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Markets, a position equivalent to Deputy Director-General, between february 2000 and may 2007 and between december 2007 and january 22, 2013.
Senior Technician at the Planning Office of the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Government of the Azores.
