Bruno Marques Teixeira, born in the city of Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (New University of Lisbon).
He began his career in 2006 as a Technology Consultant and later as a Business Consultant in the area of software development, having worked for 10 years with numerous national and international entities.
In 2012, he also joined, pro bono, to the Association for Economic and Social Development (SEDES), collaborating for 4 years in three main areas of this association: entrepreneurship (responsible for the global entrepreneurship week in Portugal), transport and also the youth.
Since 2016, he has embraced a challenge in the civil aviation sector, focused on Information Technology. He was the co-founder and Business Director of the company Civil Aviation Software.
He has developed projects on 3 continents: Europe, Middle East and Africa with five Civil Aviation Authorities.
In 2018, he began attending a Postgraduate programme in Aviation Law at the Lisbon Centre for Research in Private Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, where he attended all 38 sessions, divided into 8 Modules. He completed the programme in April 2019.
Since October 2021, he is the President of the Regional Fund for Science and Technology, an entity under the administration of the Regional Secretariat for Culture, Science and Digital Transition of the Regional Government of the Azores.
