She holds a degree in Biology, specialising in Environmental Science and Evolution, from the University of the Azores, a master's degree in Food Technology and Safety from the University of the Azores, and a PhD in Agricultural Sciences – specialising in Food Technology – from the University of the Azores. She has taught and conducted research at the University of the Azores, participated in several national and international conferences with panel presentations, and published seven scientific articles in international journals.
She also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Entity for the Regulation of Water and Waste Services of the Azores from August 2022 to August 2024.
She has been the President of the Board of Directors of the Entity for the Regulation of Water and Waste Services of the Azores since September 1, 2024.
