Academic Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialisation in Structures from Instituto Superior Técnico (School of Engineering).
Professional experience
- From December 22, 2020, to date, he was appointed, on secondment, Regional Director for Public Works and Land Transport.
- From November 2018 to December 2020, he carried out the Analysis and monitoring of Applications to Incentive Systems and worked as project coordinator for the construction of a hotel unit on the island of São Miguel. He also provided consultancy services and monitored private projects and works contracts.
- From January to October 2018, he was responsible for the Management and coordination of Works Contracts at the company Casais (Lisbon), mainly in Buildings for Renovation.
- From March 2001 to December 2017, he was responsible for the management and coordination of several Public and Private Works Contracts at the company Somague Ediçor (Azores), namely in the Housing Reconstruction of the 1998 earthquake on the islands of Faial and Pico and the construction of the new Hospital on the island of Terceira, among others.
- From October 1998 to February 2001, he was responsible for the management and coordination of Public and Private Works Contracts at the company Pesna, Sociedade de Construções, SA (Lisbon and Alentejo).
- From April 1997 to September 1998, he was a trainee engineer at Eurogil - Gestão Imobiliária SA, Grupo Jorge de Mello.
Other Information
- He received his Senior Engineer qualification from the Portuguese Engineers' Association.
- In 2014, he completed the Management and Leadership Development Programme at the Universidade Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics.
