Integrated Governance in Vocational Training Policies in the Azores under discussion on December 2
Secretaria Regional da Juventude, Qualificação Profissional e Emprego
The Regional Secretariat for Youth, Vocational Training and Employment (SRJQPE), through the Regional Directorate for Vocational Qualification and Employment, promotes the Conference "Integrated Governance in Vocational Training Policies in the Azores" next Friday, December 2.
Francisco Simões (CIS-ISCTE) and Rui Marques (Padre António Vieira Institute) are the guest speakers at this event that will take place at the Auditorium of the Ponta Delgada Public Library and Regional Archive on the island of São Miguel, starting at 10 am.
The opening session will be chaired by the Regional Secretary for Youth, Vocational Training and Employment, Maria João Carreiro
The programme also includes the presentation of the Vocational and Professional Guidance Office (GOVP) and a workshop on "Integrated Governance: Development Guidelines for the Regional Agenda for Vocational Training (ARQP)," scheduled for 2 pm. This workshop will be open to public and private partners of the ARQP to discuss the model and develop action plans.
The event is organised in the context of the Regional Agenda for Vocational Training, presented last February, following the Regional Forum for Vocational Training.
The ARQP stemmed from the Regional Forum for Vocational Training project: "Enhancing the Azoreans - Horizon 2030." In 2021, it involved more than 1,200 participants in a broad reflection on qualification, training and vocational education in the Azores. This initiative has led to the definition of the main guidelines and strategies for the projection of the cultural, social and economic potential of qualification, training and vocational education in the Region.
