Last 24 hours:

478 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 194 on the island of São Miguel, 131 on the island of Terceira, 78 on the island of Faial, 35 on the island of Pico, 16 on the island of São Jorge, 14 on the island of Graciosa, five on the island of Flores, four on the island of Santa Maria and one on the island of Corvo, following 2,364 tests carried out. 

Municipalities:

São Miguel Island - 103 in Ponta Delgada, 33 in Ribeira Grande, 23 in Lagoa, 12 in Vila Franca do Campo and one in Nordeste. 

Terceira Island - 72 in Angra do Heroísmo and 59 in Praia da Vitória. 

Faial Island - 78 in Horta. 

Pico Island - 15 in Lajes, 13 in Madalena and seven in São Roque. 

São Jorge Island – 9 in Velas and seven in Calheta.

Graciosa Island - 14 in Santa Cruz.

Flores Island – three in Lajes and two in Santa Cruz.

Santa Maria Island - four in Vila Porto.

Corvo Island - a new case.

Recoveries:

A total of 1,060 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.

Hospitalisations:

 As of today, there are 24 patients hospitalised, 13 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (one in intensive care), five at the Horta Hospital on the island of Faial and three at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island. 

Current situation: 

The archipelago currently registers 3,416 active positive cases: 1,860 on the island of São Miguel, 667 on the island of Terceira, 285 on the island of Pico, 271 on the island of Faial, 125 on the island of São Jorge, 114 on the island of Graciosa, 62 on the island of Flores, 17 on the island of Santa Maria and 15 on the island of Corvo. 

Vaccination:     

From December 31, 2020, to March 2, 2022, 210,693 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (89.1%) and 117,415 people have already received the booster dose (49.7%).

As of today, 6,608 children had been inoculated with the first dose of the vaccine, corresponding to 38.8% of a universe of 17,033 children between the ages of 5 and 11.
