Last 24 hours:

743 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 411 on the island of São Miguel, 128 on the island of Terceira, 57 on the island of Graciosa, 55 on the island of Pico, 37 on the island of São Jorge, 27 on the island of Faial, 16 on the island of Corvo, six on the island of Flores and six on the island of Santa Maria, following 2,710 tests carried out. 

On the island of Sao Miguel, 272 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 71 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 38 in the municipality of Lagoa, 15 in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, 11 in the municipality of Nordeste and four in the municipality of Povoação.

The island of Terceira registered 69 new cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 59 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória.

The island of Graciosa registered 57 positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz.

On the island of Pico, 26 cases were registered in the municipality of Madalena, 21 in the municipality of Lajes and eight in the municipality of São Roque. 

On the island of São Jorge, 27 cases were registered in the municipality of Velas and 10 in the municipality of Calheta.

The island of Faial registered 27 new positive cases in the municipality of Horta.  

The island of Corvo registered 16 positive cases.

The island of Santa Maria registered six new cases in Vila do Porto.

On the island of Flores, four new cases were registered in the municipality of Santa Cruz and two in the municipality of Lajes.

Recoveries:

A total of 797 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.

Hospitalisations:

As of today, there are 41 patients hospitalised, 23 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (one in intensive care), 12 at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (one in intensive care) and six at the Horta Hospital (one in intensive care). 

Current situation:

The archipelago currently registers 6,088 active positive cases: 4,388 on the island of São Miguel, 827 on the island of Terceira, 229 on the island of Pico, 202 on the island of Graciosa, 189 on the island of Faial, 174 on the island of São Jorge, 36 on the island of Corvo, 27 on the island of Santa Maria and 16 on the island of Flores.

Vaccination:   

From December 31, 2020, to February 19, 2022, 209,777 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (88.7%) and 111,786 people have already received the booster dose (47.3%). As of today, 6,402 children had been inoculated with the first dose of the vaccine, corresponding to 37.6% of a universe of 17,033 children between the ages of 5 and 11.
