763 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 439 on the island of São Miguel, 168 on the island of Terceira, 39 on the island of Faial, 38 on the island of Graciosa, 37 on the island of São Jorge, 31 on the island of Pico, seven on the island of Santa Maria and four on the island of Flores, following 3,071 tests.
On the island of Sao Miguel, 267 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 84 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande Grande, 40 in the municipality of Lagoa, 31 in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, 15 in the municipality of Nordeste and two in the municipality of Povoação.
The island of Terceira registered 114 new cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 54 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória.
The island of Faial registered 39 new positive cases in the municipality of Horta.
The island of Graciosa registered 38 new positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz.
On the island of São Jorge, 24 new cases were identified in the municipality of Velas and 13 in the municipality of Calheta.
On the island of Pico, 14 cases were registered in the municipality of São Roque and seven in the municipality of Madalena.
The island of Santa Maria registered seven new cases in the municipality of Vila do Porto.
The island of Flores registered three new cases in the municipality of Lajes and one in the municipality of Santa Cruz.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are 45 patients hospitalised, 32 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (six in intensive care), nine at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (two in intensive care) and four at the Horta Hospital (two in intensive care).
Recoveries:
A total of 1,033 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
Current situation:
The archipelago currently registers 10,845 active positive cases: 8,925 on the island of São Miguel, 1,279 on the island of Terceira, 166 on the island of Faial, 150 on the island of Pico, 140 on the island of São Jorge, 124 on the island of Graciosa, 36 on the island of Santa Maria and 25 on the island of Flores.
Vaccination:
From December 31, 2020, to February 15, 2022, 209,493 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (88.6%) and 107,766 people have already received the booster dose (45.6%).
As of today, 6,247 children had been inoculated with the first dose of the vaccine, corresponding to 36.7% of a universe of 17,033 children between the ages of 5 and 11.
