371 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 306 on the island of São Miguel, 32 on the island of Terceira, 14 on the island of Graciosa, seven on the island of Santa Maria, four on the island of Faial, four on the island of Pico and four on the island of São Jorge, following 825 tests carried out.  

On the island of Sao Miguel, 200 new positive cases were registered in Ponta Delgada, 53 in Ribeira Grande, 39 in Lagoa, 13 in Vila Franca do Campo and one in Nordeste.   

The island of Terceira registered 26 new cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and six in the municipality of Praia da Vitória. 
 
The island of Graciosa registered 14 new positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz. 

The island of Santa Maria registered seven new positive cases in the municipality of Vila do Porto. 

The island of Pico registered three new cases in the municipality of Madalena and one in the municipality of Lajes. 
  
The island of Faial registered four new positive cases in the municipality of Horta. 

On the island of São Jorge, four new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Calheta.  

Hospitalisations: 
          
As of today, there are 48 patients hospitalised, 34 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (four in intensive care), 11 at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (two in intensive care) and three at the Horta Hospital (both in intensive care).  

Recoveries: 
   
A total of 1,426 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.      

Current situation:
    
The archipelago currently registers 12,212 active positive cases: 10,085 on the island of São Miguel, 1,431 on the island of Terceira, 189 on the island of Faial, 159 on the island of Pico, 127 on the island of Graciosa, 102 on the island of São Jorge, 69 on the island of Santa Maria and 50 on the island of Flores.  

Vaccination: 

From December 31, 2020, to February 9, 2022, 209,045 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (88.4%) and 103,455 people have already received the booster dose (43.8%).  

As of today, 5,983 children had been inoculated with the first dose of the vaccine, corresponding to 35.1% of a universe of 17,033 children between the ages of 5 and 11.
