Regional Government publishes final lists of beneficiaries of Lease Incentives for 2022 - Communication

The Vice-Presidency of the Government, through the Regional Directorate for Housing, has published the final lists of the beneficiaries of Lease Incentives for 2022, with an estimated investment of about 3.5 million Euros.

From all applications submitted, 1,939 families were admitted to this programme and will now benefit from monthly support for the payment of leases during 12 months, representing a monthly investment of around 288 thousand Euros.

The lists have been published on the website of the Regional Directorate for Housing at https://portal.azores.gov.pt/web/drh/concursos-incentivo-ao-arrendamento, at RIAC offices and at the Housing services of each island.

Regarding these 1,939 beneficiary families, representing a universe of 4,860 people, about 31.6% are young families and 33.5% are single-parent families, whereby 9.5% of families are under both situations.

As for the beneficiaries of 2021, there is an increase from 1,867 to 1,939 families.

The monthly payments of support are expected to begin on February 8.

This programme enables beneficiaries to apply for the incentive to lease buildings or dwellings. The Lease Incentive programme grants support in the form of a non-refundable monthly aid to the tenants of buildings or dwellings for a one-year period. It may be renewed for an equal period, up to a maximum of four consecutive renewals.
