Last 24 hours:      

1,083 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 666 on the island of São Miguel, 272 on the island of Terceira, 73 on the island of Faial, 44 on the  island of Pico, 15 on the island of  Flores, nine on the island of Graciosa, two on the island of São Jorge and two on the island of Santa Maria, 3,582 tests carried out.  

On the island of São Miguel, 274 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 162 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 67 in the municipality of Lagoa, 65 in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, 65 in the municipality of Nordeste and 33 in the municipality of Povoação. 

The island of Terceira registered 201 new cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 71 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória. 

The island of Faial registered 73 new positive cases in the municipality of Horta. 

On the island of Pico, there are 26 new positive cases in the municipality of Madalena, 13 in the municipality of São Roque and five in the municipality of Lajes. 

The island of Flores registered 10 new positive cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz and five in the municipality of Lajes. 

On the island of Graciosa, there are nine new cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz. 

The island of São Jorge registered two new positive cases in the municipality of Calheta and the same number of cases was registered on the island Santa Maria in the municipality of Vila do Porto. 

Hospitalisations:      

As of today, there are 52 patients hospitalised, 38 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (two in intensive care), 12 at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (two in intensive care) and two at the Horta Hospital. 

Recoveries:      

A total of 282 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.    

Current situation:  

The archipelago currently registers 8,526 active positive cases, with 6,254 on the island of São Miguel, 1,484 on the island of Terceira, 314 on the island of Pico, 278 on the island of Faial, 89 on the island of São Jorge, 52 on the island of Flores, 32 on the island of Graciosa and 23 on the island of Santa Maria.  

From December 31, 2020, to January 20, 2020, 205,209 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (86.8%) and 72,582 people have already received the booster dose (30.7%).
