Last 24 hours:     

986 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 684 on the island of São Miguel, 210 on the island of Terceira, 51 on the island of Pico, 27 on the island of São Jorge, eight on the island of Santa Maria, four on the island of Flores, one on the island of Faial and one on the island of Graciosa, following 3,8083 tests carried out. 

On the island of São Miguel, 290 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 243 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 52 in the municipality of Vila Franca, 51 in the municipality of Lagoa, 44 in the municipality of Povoação and four in the municipality of Nordeste. 

The island of Terceira registered 115 new positive cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 95 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória. 

The island of Pico registered 45 new positive cases in the municipality of Madalena, four in the municipality of São Roque and two in the municipality of Lajes.  

On the island of São Jorge, 26 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Velas and one in the municipality of Calheta. 

On the island of Santa Maria, there are eight new cases in the municipality of Vila do Porto.

On the island of Flores, three new cases were registered in the municipality of Lajes and one in the municipality of Santa Cruz.  

The island of Faial registered one new case in the municipality of Horta. 

In turn, the island of Graciosa registered a new case in the municipality of Santa Cruz.

Hospitalisations:     

As of today, there are 50 patients hospitalised, 35 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (three in intensive care), 13 at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (three in intensive care) and two at the Horta Hospital.  

Recoveries:     

A total of 312 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.    

Current situation:    

The archipelago currently registers 7,730 active positive cases: 5,581 on the island of São Miguel, 1,360 on the island of Terceira, 318 on the island of Pico, 253 on the island of Faial, 110 on the island of São Jorge, 44 on the island of Santa Maria, 39 on the island of Flores and 25 on the island of Graciosa.

From December 31, 2020, to January 20, 2020, 205,209 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (86.8%) and 72,582  people have already received the booster dose (30.7%).
