1,113 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 775 on the island of São Miguel, 214 on the island of Terceira, 54 on the island of Pico, 47 on the island of Faial,18 on the island of São Jorge, 15 on the island of Flores, nine on the island of Santa Maria and one on the island of Graciosa, following 4,563 tests carried out.
On the island of São Miguel, 333 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 217 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 67 in the municipality of Vila Franca, 51 in the municipality of Povoação, 50 in the municipality of Lagoa and 37 in the municipality of Nordeste.
The island of Terceira registered 126 new positive cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 88 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória.
The island of Pico registered 32 new positive cases in the municipality of Madalena, 14 in the municipality of São Roque and eight in the municipality of Lajes.
The island of Faial registered 47 new cases in the municipality of Horta.
The island of São Jorge registered 15 cases in the municipality of Velas and three in the municipality of Calheta.
On the island of Flores, 10 new cases were registered in the municipality of Santa Cruz and five in the municipality of Lajes.
On the island of Santa Maria, there are nine new cases in the municipality of Vila do Porto.
On the island of Graciosa, a new case was registered in the municipality of Santa Cruz.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are 49 patients hospitalised, 35 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (three in intensive care), 12 at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (two in intensive care) and two at the Horta Hospital.
Recoveries:
A total of 159 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.
Current situation:
The archipelago currently registers 6,575 active positive cases: 4,690 on the island of São Miguel, 1,085 on the island of Terceira, 317 on the island of Pico, 294 on the island of Faial, 91 on the island of São Jorge, 43 on the island of Flores, 35 on the island of Santa Maria and 20 on the island of Graciosa.
From December 31, 2020, to January 20, 2020, 205,209 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (86.8%) and 72,582 people have already received the booster dose (30.7%).
