Last 24 hours:     

1,123 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 804on the island of São Miguel, 158 on the island of Terceira, 49 on the island of Faial, 43 on the island of Pico, 40 on the island of São Jorge, 13 on the island of Graciosa, 10 on the island of Graciosa, 10 on the island of Santa Maria and six on the island of Flores, following 4,193 tests carried out. 

On the island of São Miguel, 330 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, 321 in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, 71 in the municipality of Vila Franca, 44 in the municipality of Lagoa, 29 in the municipality of Nordeste and nine in the municipality of Povoação.

The island of Terceira registered 107 new positive cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and 51 in the municipality of Praia da Vitória. 

The island of Faial registered 49 new cases in the municipality of Horta. 

The island of Pico registered 29 new positive cases in the municipality of Madalena, seven in the municipality of São Roque and seven in the municipality of Lajes.  

The island of São Jorge registered 33 cases in the municipality of Velas and seven in the municipality of Calheta. 

On the island of Graciosa, 13 new cases were registered in the municipality of Santa Cruz, while the island of Santa Maria registered 10 new cases in the municipality of Vila do Porto.

On the island of Flores, four new cases were registered in the municipality of Santa Cruz  and two in the municipality of Lajes.  

Hospitalisations:     

As of today, there are 44 patients hospitalised, 34 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (four in Intensive Care), eight at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island (three in intensive care) and two at the Horta Hospital. 

Recoveries:     

A total of 498 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.   

Current situation:    

The archipelago currently registers 5,624 active positive cases: 3,931 on the island of São Miguel, 979 on the island of Terceira, 283 on the island of Pico, 259 on the island of Faial, 74 on the island of São Jorge, 41 on the island of Santa Maria, 38 on the island of Flores and 19 on the island of Graciosa.

From December 31, 2020, to January 19, 2020, 204,963 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (86.7%) and 70,530 people have already received the booster dose (30.7%).
