Last 24 hours:
24 new positive cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed, with 14 on the island of São Miguel, six on the island of São Jorge, three on the island of Terceira and one on the island of Graciosa, resulting from 1.228 tests carried out.
By islands, São Miguel registered five positive cases in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, four in the municipality of Lagoa, three in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, one in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo and one in the municipality of Povoação.
On the island of São Jorge, five cases were registered in the municipality of Velas and one in the municipality of Calheta. The island of Terceira registers two cases in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and one in the municipality of Praia da Vitoria and the island of Graciosa registers one case corresponding to the municipality of Santa Cruz.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are six patients hospitalised, all at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital in Ponta Delgada, one of them in Intensive Care Unit.
Recoveries:
In the last 24 hours, 54 recoveries were registered.
Current situation:
The archipelago currently has 303 active positive cases: 235 on the island of São Miguel, 26 on the island of Graciosa, 19 on the island of Terceira, 19 on the island of São Jorge, three on the island of Faial and one on the island of Pico.
From December 31, 2020 to November 11, 175,199 people in the Azores have been vaccinated with the first dose (74,0 per cent) and 195,775 with complete vaccination (82,7 per cent), under the Regional Vaccination Plan. Up to this date, 9,095 people have received the reinforcement vaccine (3nd dose).
