Last 24 hours:
16 new positive cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed, with 11 on the island of São Miguel, three on the island of Graciosa and two on the island of Terceira, following 600 tests carried out.
By islands, on the island of São Miguel, there are seven positive cases in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, three in the municipality of Ribeira Grande and one in the municipality of Lagoa.
On the island of Graciosa, the three new cases correspond to the municipality of Santa Cruz.
On the island of Terceira, both cases were registered in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo.
Hospitalisations:
As of today, there are eight patients hospitalised, all at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital in Ponta Delgada, one of them in Intensive Care Unit.
Recoveries:
In the last 24 hours, 40 recoveries were registered.
Current situation:
The archipelago currently registers 324 positive active cases: 255 on the island of São Miguel, 25 on the island of Graciosa, 17 on the island of Terceira, 16 on the island of São Jorge, seven on the island of Faial and four on the island of Pico.
From December 31, 2020 to November 11, 175,199 people in the Azores have been vaccinated with the first dose (74,0 per cent) and 195,775 with complete vaccination (82,7 per cent), under the Regional Vaccination Plan. Up to this date, 9,095 people have received vaccine reinforcement (3nd dose).
