Applications now open for 22 houses in Santa Clara - Communication

The public tender for the allocation of 22 new houses in the parish of Santa Clara in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, São Miguel Island, built by the Regional Government under the Regional Recovery Plan (RRP) for the Region, runs until June 12.

The single-family houses, located at 2.ª Rua de Santa Clara, are intended for the permanent residence of the applicants and their respective households. They will be allocated under a lease with purchase option scheme, with tenants having the option to purchase the property one year after signing the lease agreement.

These include 18 three-bedroom houses and 4 four-bedroom houses, representing an investment of about €4 million.

Applications must be submitted until June 12 by completing the appropriate form, available on the Regional Directorate for Housing (DRH) website at https://portal.azores.gov.pt/web/drh/concursos, and delivered in one of the following formats:

1. Regional Directorate for Housing, located at Rua Dr. João Francisco de Sousa, no. 30, Ponta Delgada;
2. RIAC (Integrated Citizen Support Network) offices;
3. online, via the website https://habitacao.azores.gov.pt.

The regulations contain all the information regarding the eligibility criteria and application procedures, as well as information on the allocation of housing. They are available for consultation on the DRH website, at the Regional Directorate for Housing Services in Ponta Delgada, and at RIAC offices during regular operating hours.

Any requests for clarification on the understanding and interpretation of the Regulations should be addressed to the president of the jury and submitted by the interested parties in writing to the DRH Services in Ponta Delgada. Alternatively, they should be sent to the email address [email protected] no later than June 2, 2026. Requests will be answered within a maximum of three working days from the date on which they are received.
