The Government of the Azores informs that, following various steps taken by the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Mobility and Infrastructures with several national entities, namely AMT - Mobility and Transport Authority and, in particular, with those responsible for the Leixões Maritime Terminal, the unloading and loading of the ETE Portugal vessel, which is in that port on Friday,  December 26, has been ensured.

Despite the constraints at national ports resulting from the implementation of the new Portuguese customs system under the Tax and Customs Authority, known as SiMTeM, as stipulated in CIRCULAR No. 991-25, priority cargo for vessels bound for the Azores is hereby guaranteed.

The Government of the Azores welcomes the prompt manner in which the port responded to the requests of the Regional Secretariat and its awareness of the specific needs of the Region, giving priority to cargo bound for the Azores and ensuring the timely arrival of goods during this festive season.
