Azores Beef Fest celebrates quality of regional meat

The Azores Beef Fest 2025 - Barbecue Festival, which celebrates the excellence of Azorean meat, announces its second edition, which will take place next Saturday, August 2.
The event starts at 12:30 p.m. at the Santana Market in Rabo de Peixe, Ribeira Grande. Admission is free and everyone is invited to take part in this gastronomic event.
Following the success of the opening edition, the Azores Beef Fest 2025 promises a memorable day dedicated to the unrivalled quality of meat produced in the Azores.
Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy two barbecue stations and a pit smoker, where the meat will be prepared to perfection.
The official opening session will take place at 12:30 p.m., marking the beginning of a day full of activities. For families, there will be entertainment dedicated to children with fun for the youngest. At 7 p.m., the Kevin Leo Blues Band will take the stage in what promises to be a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere.
The festival will be attended by chef Diego Sales, from the prestigious "O Bovino" restaurant in Quinta do Lago, who will be joined by local chef Sandro Vieira, from the Associação Agrícola de São Miguel Restaurant Both will be supported by a team of barbecue chefs and local staff, with the special participation of members from the islands of Terceira and Graciosa, fostering the spirit of collaboration and regional unity.
The Azores Beef Fest is organised by CERCA - Regional Strategy Centre for Meat in the Azores, in partnership with the São Miguel Agricultural Association.
The event receives strong support from the Government of the Azores, demonstrating its commitment to valorising regional production.
The Azores Manufacturing Centres and Quinta dos Açores are the main sponsors of this edition, with additional sponsorship from the Graciosa Farmers' Association, Agropecuária Manuel Couto, Lda., São Miguel Young Farmers' Association, Bovinaçor II - Exploração Agro-Pecuária dos Açores, Lda. and the Sicosta group.
