Regional Government awards 450 scholarships to support higher education students - Communication

The Regional Government, through the Secretariat for Health and Social Security, will award 450 scholarships amounting to €2,750.00 per year in 2024 to ensure the continuity of support for students wishing to pursue their Higher Education studies, an investment funded under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and up to €1,237,500.

The application period for this Scholarship Programme for Higher Education Students begins on September 9.

The application period ends a month later, October 9.

The Regional Secretary for Social Security, Mónica Seidi, considers that this measure "represents a commitment to the qualification of Azoreans, particularly students who have resided in the Autonomous Region of the Azores for at least three years and who wish to pursue their studies but are faced with various constraints."

According to her, "this is another measure by the Coalition Government to mitigate the difficulties that families experience when they want higher education to be part of their life path."
