Regional Government moves forward with new social response in Santa Cruz da Graciosa - Communication

The launch of the public tender concerning the Works Contract for the Adaptation of the former Health Centre Building into a Nursing Home of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Santa Cruz da Graciosa will provide another support service for the elderly in the municipality of Santa Cruz da Graciosa, with capacity for 14 users.

With an overall investment of €968,658.00, implemented by the Regional Secretariat for Health and Social Security, through the Regional Directorate for Social Solidarity, the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Santa Cruz da Graciosa launched the public tender for the Works Contract for the Adaptation of the former Health Centre Building into a Nursing Home of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Santa Cruz da Graciosa with a base price of €752,786.86 plus VAT.

According to Mónica Seidi, the Regional Government intends "to continue implementing quality social responses and support for all Azorean citizens."

This initiative, continues the Secretary for Health and Social Security, "demonstrates the Regional Government's investment in increasing vacancies in Residential Structures for the Elderly, responding to waiting lists in this social response and always working to achieve an installed capacity that best suits the needs of the population."

This investment is financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), whose tender was published in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, II SERIES - no. 105, under Announcement no. 206/2024 of June 3, 2024, with a completion period of 360 days.
