The President of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, received the Minister of Youth and Modernisation, Margarida Balseiro Lopes, at an audience held today. On the occasion, he recalled the need for measures in this and all sectors for the "entire country," without excluding the autonomous regions.

"This already makes a difference compared to the past in other areas of intervention of the previous National Government," he said, speaking at the Palácio de Sant'Ana after the meeting with the Minister.

José Manuel Bolieiro greeted Margarida Balseiro Lopes for being the first government official from the new National Government to visit the Region officially.

"Governments have to agree on national measures to ensure horizontal intervention in youth policies and guarantee the country's development," said the President of the Regional Government.

In addition to the national measures, the Regional Government will implement others, he said, recalling initiatives such as the so-called Book Voucher, amounting to 100 Euros, as an incentive to purchase paper books.

"We will strive for our political actions, alongside others," said José Manuel Bolieiro.
