Secretaria Regional da Juventude, Qualificação Profissional e Emprego
The InterAJ - Training Workshop for Youth Associations, annually promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Vocational Training and Employment, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, takes place tomorrow, Friday, and Sunday, October 29, on the island of São Miguel.
The initiative involves about 50 association leaders and representatives of youth associations from the islands of Santa Maria, São Miguel, Terceira, Pico, Faial, São Jorge and Corvo, as well as from the Autonomous Region of Madeira and Mainland Portugal (CNJ - National Youth Council and FNAJ - National Federation of Youth Associations), representing 28 associations, youth groups and public organisations.
InterAJ is a space for dialogue where leaders and representatives of youth associations have the opportunity to discuss the new challenges, opportunities and projects for youth associations.
This year's meeting focuses on the theme "From Online to SMART Youth Talk," which falls within the broader theme of digital transition and the work of associations in the online world.
The programme of activities includes different thematic workshops that will take place in different locations around the island, such as the Ponta Delgada Public Library and Regional Archive, the Daniel de Sá Municipal Library in Ribeira Grande or the headquarters of the UnoJovens Association in Ponta Garça, municipality of Vila Franca do Campo.
In addition to this meeting, there will also be an Association Fair at the Ponta Delgada Public Library and Regional Archive, where the different associations taking part in InterAJ will showcase and promote their work with young people.
