Biographical Note

Born on September 1, 1971, in Angra do Heroísmo.

He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the University of the Azores (1995) and a postgraduate degree in Nature Management and Conservation from the University of the Azores (2000).

He taught Physics and Chemistry, Agricultural Mechanisation and General Agriculture and Nature Conservation at the Angra do Heroísmo Basic Education and Secondary School, at the Vinha Brava Vocational Training Centre and the Training Centre of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Angra do Heroísmo Vocational School, respectively (1997 and 2001). 

He was a senior technician at the Terceira Island Agricultural Association (1999). He was a Monitor at the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the University of the Azores, having taught, under the supervision of the head of the department, practical classes as part of the Plant Protection II and Introduction to Integrated Crop Protection courses (1994/1995).

He was a member of the Parish Council of Vila de São Sebastião for the 2013/2017, 2017/2021 and 2021/2025 terms, serving as treasurer. 
He served as Aide to the Cabinet of the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development of the XIII Regional Government of the Azores (2021/2024).
Since March 4, 2024, he has been an Aide to the Cabinet of the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Food of the XIV Government of the Azores.
