The Agency for the Modernisation and Quality of Citizen Service, known as RIAC, is a Public Institute endowed with administrative and financial autonomy, under the administration of Vice-Presidency of the Government, Employment and Business Competitiveness. It has as its main purpose the management of the Integrated Citizen Support Network (RIAC) in its various aspects, which consists, fundamentally, of a tool to ensure the proximity and simplification of the interaction of various levels of Public Administration with citizens on all the islands of the Azores.

From a practical standpoint, the role of RIAC takes shape in its 54 Citizen Support Offices on all islands and municipalities of the Autonomous Region of the Azores. They provide citizens - in close proximity and with permanent concerns for modernisation and simplification - with a wide range of public and private services and information of profound public interest.

Additionally, RIAC is also currently operating the toll-free Regional Government's Citizen Support Line - 800 500 501 available by telephone, chat (RIAC portal), skype, via email [email protected], or by message at www.facebook.com/riac.gov or @riacazores. All these channels are available from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 10:30 pm, and on Sundays and holidays from 10 am to 10:30 pm.

In a world where the digital dimension is increasingly important, RIAC's presence reaches out to its online portal, which is under permanent construction and updating, providing citizens with an ever-increasing number of online services, with various payment possibilities, which allows citizens to interact with the administration at any time or place.
