Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
Postgraduate degree in "Administration and Public Policy" from Universidade Aberta (Open University).
She completed the "Advanced Programme in Marine Studies" at the Portuguese Catholic University and the "Specialisation Course in Public Procurement " at the CEACP Academy.
From March 2023 to April 2024, she worked as a senior technician at the Consultation and Legal Studies Centre of the Presidency of the Government.
From May 2018 to February 2023, she headed the Planning Office of the Regional Secretariat for the Sea and Fisheries and the Regional Secretariat for the Sea, Science and Technology.
From November 2015 to May 2018, she was the Head of the Infrastructures, Information Technology and Legal Support Section at the Regional Secretariat for the Sea, Science and Technology.
From May 2005 to November 2015, she was a senior technician at the Regional Government of the Azores with the Regional Inspectorate of Fisheries and the Regional Directorate for Fisheries.
From April 1995 to August 2004, she coordinated the technical team at ADELIAÇOR – Association for Local Development of the Azores Islands.
She has participated in numerous seminars, colloquiums and training courses in legal matters and areas related to the various duties she has performed, namely administrative offences, public procurement, State aid, quality management, human resources, information management and finance.
