Health Forum 2030 opens this month on Terceira Island

The Regional Secretariat for Health and Sport announces that the Health Forum 2030 will open on the island of Terceira on August 19.
Clélio Meneses, Regional Secretary for Health and Sport, had already announced the holding of this event at the last plenary session of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
On that occasion, the Secretary for Health stated that the Forum "intends to carry out an in-depth reflection on the restructuring of the Regional Health Service, involving several islands as well as local and external specialists. It will also call on all those who wish to contribute to this structural reform of the Regional Health Service."
The opening session will take place at the Angra do Heroísmo Cultural Centre. It will feature three guest speakers, including Pedro Marques, manager and institutional coordinator for Public Health, Communication and Access Policies of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations.
The other two guest speakers are Eurico Castro Alves, physician and President of the National Health Convention, and João Sarmento, General Practitioner and Health Manager.
The initiative is aimed at all health agents in the Azores and the public in general. Participation in the opening session may be requested by interested parties via email: [email protected]
