Maria Bettencourt performs at Alpendre - Theatre Group this Saturday

The Regional Secretariat for Education and Cultural Affairs, through the Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs (DraC), promotes a concert by Maria Bettencourt on Saturday, May 7, at 9:30 pm at the headquarters of Alpendre — Theatre Group in Angra do Heroísmo.
A native of Terceira Island, the artist’s passion for music started when she was young under the influence of a family of singers and musicians. Maria performed for the first time when she was 10 years old, with the band Extreme, at the Maré de Agosto Festival on the island of Santa Maria.
Three years later, she performed acoustic and rock concerts with her father, musician Luís Gil Bettencourt, throughout the Azores, Mainland Portugal and the United States of America. In 2015, she started working on original themes, releasing her debut album in 2019.
Tickets for the concert can be purchased at the box office of Alpendre - Theatre Group, two hours before the concert, at a cost of five Euros (free for children under 10).
