Government of the Azores launches tender for the refurbishment of the Lajes do Pico Health Centre

The Regional Secretariat for Public Works and Communications has just published the notice of the public tender for the " Works Contract for the Refurbishment of the Lajes do Pico Health Centre," a unit under the administration of the Regional Secretariat for Health and Sport.
With this tender, the Regional Government aims to provide the health centre with better technical conditions for its professionals and users, correcting a series of problems and modifying the functional distribution of services.
The project includes the organisation of specialised spaces in the Basic Emergency Unit as well as in Medical and Nursing Services, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services, Inpatient services and Administrative services.
Interventions will take place on three floors, namely at the level of foundations and structures and accessibility.
Additionally, the works will improve logistics for the movement of professionals and users, with the installation of a new lift.
With a base price of 1.55 million Euros, plus VAT, the works have a completion period of 480 days.
