The Regional Secretary for Health and Social Security, Mónica Seidi, announced on Friday that new features are now available to all Azoreans registered on mySaúde Açores.

At the ceremony marking the integration of the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo (HDES) in Ponta Delgada into the platform, thus completing the process of integrating all health units and hospitals in the archipelago, the government official stressed that users of the Regional Health Service (SRS) can track waiting times in emergency departments via de app.

This applies to users triaged under the Manchester system, providing information on the number of people waiting and their category, all updated in real time.

Another new feature is the possibility of accessing referrals for consultations and surgeries, providing the respective registration date. Satisfaction surveys on the care provided are also now available, enabling closer monitoring of users' needs and continuous improvement of services.

Mónica Seidi thanked the professionals involved for their work and dedication, highlighting the effort involved in uploading all the information, which was particularly complex given the size and high number of HDES users. The uploading of clinical episode records since January 1, 2024, is still ongoing.

mySaúde Açores is co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and has Siemens Healthineers as its technology partner. The project achieved its registration target ahead of schedule, with more than 30,000 Azoreans already registered on the application.

Mónica Seidi reiterated her confidence in a project that positions the Azores archipelago as a visionary in the use of new technologies to improve healthcare provision in a territory marked by geographical dispersion, placing users at the centre of the healthcare system.
