Applications for "Young Autonomy" until May 31

The application period for "Young Autonomy," a programme promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing and Employment through the Regional Directorate for Youth, begins this Wednesday, May 7, to bring young people closer to the symbols of Autonomy, in this case through a rendition of the Hymn of the Azores played and sung, or in an a capella version.
Applications are open until May 31 and must be submitted using the electronic form available on the Youth Portal at juventude.azores.gov.pt.
Young people born and/or resident in the Azores aged between 6 and 35 can participate in the "Young Autonomy" initiative individually or as part of collective non-profit organisations and/or informal youth groups, as determined by the Programme rules.
Young people aged between six and 12 are included in Level 1; those aged between 13 and 17 are included in Level 2, and those aged between 18 and 35 are included in Level 3.
The winning application in each category is awarded a prize of 200 Euros in the case of Level 1, 300 Euros in the case of Level 2 and 500 Euros in the case of Level 3.
The "Young Autonomy" jury comprises Ana Paula Andrade (president), Aníbal Raposo, Hélder Bettencourt, Luís Bettencourt and Marisa Oliveira.
The winners will be announced on the Day of the Region, which will be celebrated this year on June 9.
