The head of the Azorean Government stressed the importance of CESA as a space for dialogue and social consultation, underlining its fundamental role in promoting participatory democracy in the Region.
"This is a body whose vision has one goal: strengthening participatory democracy in the autonomy of the Azores. It aims to ensure that the leadership of civic opinion can be organised and aggregated through the Economic and Social Council of the Azores," stated José Manuel Bolieiro.
The Regional Government reiterated its commitment to guaranteeing the conditions for CESA to carry out its duties independently and effectively, providing the appropriate means within the Region's logistical and budget possibilities.
The President of the Regional Government stressed that the Government is fully available to support the Council in fulfilling its mission, underlining the need for "joint work to promote a democratic and inclusive debate" on the economic and social issues that impact the Azores.

In this respect, he stressed his confidence in a reformist perspective and the Council's proactive role in keeping up with the challenges and opportunities facing the nine islands of the Azores.
