José Manuel Bolieiro highlights "excellent cooperation" with Santa Cruz da Graciosa municipality - Communication

The President of the Regional Government, José Manuel Bolieiro, stressed on Monday the "excellent cooperation" between the Government and the municipality of Santa Cruz da Graciosa.

The local authority, he stressed, "defends the island if it is also willing to cooperate with the Government" so that it "can better fulfil its mission" in favour of the development of the population, José Manuel Bolieiro said, speaking at the end of a meeting with the Mayor of Santa Cruz da Graciosa, António Reis.

"We addressed the relations that have been developing between the municipality and the Regional Government, and cooperation has been fundamental to gaining opportunities and synergies," highlighted José Manuel Bolieiro.

The meeting with the mayor of Santa Cruz da Graciosa, held on Monday afternoon at the town hall, was part of the first day of the Regional Government's annual statutory visit to the island of Graciosa.

Highlighting progress in areas such as health and air mobility, the President of the Government recognised that "one of the persistent concerns" in Graciosa is the maritime supply to the island.

In this regard, he stated that the study commissioned by the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Mobility and Infrastructures on this matter will be presented in the coming months.

Today, on the second day, the Government is meeting with the Island Council and has several initiatives planned. José Manuel Bolieiro will take part in events related to housing, local government, and health, among other topics.
