The President of the Regional Government, José Manuel Bolieiro, began today the Government's statutory visit to the island of Graciosa with a visit to the António Maria da Cunha riding arena, where, accompanied by the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Food, António Ventura, he met with the Graciosense Equestrian Association.

"There is a new association on this board, headed by a young woman who, as President, invited me to visit the riding arena and show me the state of the art of the place and the current operation of the association," emphasised the President at the end of the visit.

The President of the Government defended the efforts of the Graciosense Equestrian Association to strengthen synergies with the Santa Cruz da Graciosa local authority and the local farmers' association.

Today marks the first day of the Regional Government's annual statutory visit to the island of Graciosa.
