Mónica Seidi announces that a report on fire in HDES has already been delivered to Parliament - Communication

The Regional Secretary for Health and Social Security, Mónica Seidi, announced today that the report on the fire at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital (HDES), drawn up by the working group set up for this purpose, has already been submitted to the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores (ALRAA).

At a press conference, the government official reiterated that the Regional Government's goal is to "make all the information available to Parliament, MPs and the Azorean people" about the fire that broke out at the Ponta Delgada hospital on May 4.

The Regional Government, in this matter as in all others, strives for "transparency" and to remove "any doubt or suspicion," continued the Regional Secretary.

Mónica Seidi also announced to journalists the creation of an independent commission to produce another fully "detailed" report on the origin of the fire at HDES.

"I will propose, by means of a Government Council resolution, an independent and impartial technical commission to produce a detailed technical report," she said.
