Presidência do Governo Regional
The President of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, joined today a class at the Business School in Nordeste, a measure promoted by the Government to support entrepreneurship, the creation of self-employment and the development of the local business fabric through the creation of micro and small companies.
"This is a pilot project that can project Nordeste with the extension of the concept to the entire archipelago," emphasised the President of the Government, who was accompanied by the Regional Secretary for Vocational Training, Maria João Carreiro.
He continued: "I was extremely happy and pleased to see the warm and motivated participation of trainees."
For the President of the Government, "rescuing young people and adults" who might be discouraged by unemployment or precariousness is one of the priorities of this programme, a "reason for confidence" in the future employment of the Azoreans.
The Business School is divided into three phases: an initial phase on the idea, a second phase on the project, and a final phase on starting a business. Financial support will be granted to micro and small companies that, once implemented following the previous phases, have begun their activity and created the participant's job.
This support corresponds to 18 times the Minimum Monthly Wage in the Region and can be combined with other investment support, such as the "Young Investor" and "Small Business" measures, which are part of the new Construir 2030 incentive system.
Training is provided by a certified training organisation. In this case, the pilot project being implemented in Nordeste, which José Manuel Bolieiro visited today, is led by Cresaçor.
