A circular issued by the Regional Directorate for Health terminates the requirement for isolation due to covid-19 in the archipelago as of today.
According to the circular "the suspension of isolation measures for positive SARS- COV-2 cases follows the publication of Decree-Law no. 66-A/2022 of September 30, which repeals the decree-laws published in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. The Regional Directorate for Health hereby clarifies that, despite the validity of the Government Council Resolution no. 148/2022 of September 1, the isolation measures for positive covid-19 cases to remain in force in the Autonomous Region of the Azores are those applicable in Mainland Portugal. Therefore, as of this date, there is no longer the requirement for prophylactic isolation of positive SARS- COV-2 cases."
The circular comes into effect today, October 10, 2022.
