The Regional Government of the Azores, through the Regional Secretariat for Finance, Planning and Public Administration, promotes the CONSTRUIR 2030 initiative on all islands of the Azores from June 29 to July 14.

The initiative was presented today by the Regional Secretary for Finance, Duarte Freitas.

It is part of the Regional Government's strategy for the areas of Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness to leverage, through joint efforts, the social and economic recovery of the Region, meeting the needs of the regional business fabric.

With a view to creating a space of synergy between companies, institutions and public entities, CONSTRUIR 2030 will reach all islands, promoting direct interaction between these agents.

The Government is already counting on the participation of the Association of Municipalities of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, the trade associations of various islands, the Portuguese Chartered Accountants' Association and the Portuguese Economists' Association. The initiative will be disseminated on social networks, and in several regional and local media outlets.

For Duarte Freitas, the new incentive system intends to "provide a swift response to the needs and goals of the business fabric, address the challenges of this decade, and contribute to the growth, development and qualification of the Azores and Azoreans citizens in a decisive manner."

In addition to these face-to-face actions, the initiative also includes a digital platform, encouraging the collection of contributions for the definition of the next incentive system that will benefit regional companies and entrepreneurs in the coming years.

The initiative will also include the presentation of the results of the Azores 2020 Programme and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), as well as the announcement of the main lines of action of the Azores 2030 Programme.

On the constru2030.azores.gov.pt page, all interested parties can register for the 10 face-to-face events that will take place in the coming weeks and also submit their suggestions, which will be considered in the definition of the next incentive system.
