Last 24 hours:

122 new positive cases of covid-19 were diagnosed, with 64 on the island of São Miguel, 29 on the island of Terceira, 13 on the island of Pico, six on the island of Graciosa, six on the island of São Jorge and four on the island of Faial, following 795 tests carried out.

Municipalities:

São Miguel Island - 36 in Ponta Delgada, nine in Ribeira Grande, eight in Lagoa, eight in Povoação, two in Nordeste and one in Vila Franca do Campo. 

Terceira Island - 21 in Praia da Vitória and eight in Angra do Heroísmo. 

Pico Island – eight in Madalena and five in Lajes.

São Jorge Island – three in Calheta and three in Velas.

Graciosa Island - six in Santa Cruz.

Faial Island - four in Horta. 

Recoveries:

A total of 548 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.

Hospitalisations:

As of today, there are 23 patients hospitalised, 13 of them at the Divino Espírito Santo Hospital on the island of São Miguel (one in intensive care), five at the Horta Hospital on the island of Faial and five at the Santo Espírito Hospital of Terceira Island. 

Current situation: 

The archipelago currently registers 2,906 active positive cases: 1,738 on the island of São Miguel, 585 on the island of Terceira, 206 on the island of Faial, 134 on the island of Pico, 114 on the island of São Jorge, 73 on the island of Graciosa, 39 on the island of Flores, 16 on the island of Santa Maria and one on the island of Corvo.  

Vaccination:     

From December 31, 2020, to March 4, 2022, 211,118 people in the Azores already have complete primary vaccination (89.3%) and 117,930 people have already received the booster dose (49.9%).

As of today, 6,620 children had been inoculated with the first dose of the vaccine, corresponding to 38.9% of a universe of 17,033 children between the ages of 5 and 11.
