Last 24 hours 
Sixty new positive cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed, with 33 on São Miguel, five on Terceira, eight on Santa Maria, eight on Graciosa, three on Faial, two on Pico, and one on Flores, arising from 976  tests carried out.

On São Miguel, 24 new positive cases were registered in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, one in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, two in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo, five  in the municipality of Lagoa, and one in the municipality of Povoação.

On Terceira, five  new positive cases were registered, all in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo. 
On Santa Maria, eight positive cases were registered in the municipality of Vila do Porto, and on Graciosa, there are also eight new cases in the municipality of Santa Cruz. 

On Faial, there is a record of three new positive cases in the municipality of Horta, and on Pico there are two new positive cases, one in the municipality of Lajes and another in the municipality of Madalena. On Flores, there is a new positive case registered in the municipality of Lajes.

Hospitalizations:
As of today, eleven patients are hospitalized: ten in Divino Espírito Santo Hospital, in Ponta Delgada (two in intensive care unit), and one in Santo Espírito Hospital, in Angra do Heroísmo.

Recoveries:  
In the last 24 hours, six recoveries were registered.

Current situation:
Currently, there are 449 active positive cases in the archipelago, with 373 on São Miguel, 28 on Terceira, 23 on Santa Maria, 6 on Faial, 12 on Graciosa, 3 on Pico, and 4 on Flores.
From 31st  December 2020 to 7th December, 197,309 people have completed primary vaccination (83,4 per cent) and 27,316 have already received the vaccine booster (3rd dose).
